The 1st year (in pictures)

Our first year as parents was wonderful, crazy & tough. 

We had so much to learn from ourselves, each other & Colt. 

February 2, 2011. Colt Alan Fields was born.

March 2011. 1 month. He slept through the night & started holding his head up.

April 2011. 2 months. Colt is smiling & interacting with us.

May 2011. 3 months. Looks in direction of people talking.

June 2011. 4 months. Started jumping in his Jumparoo.

July 2011. 5 months. Started crawling.

August 2011. 6 months. Acknowledges his name.

September 2011. 7 months. Happy Baby.

October 2011. 8 months. Learning to walk.

November 2011. 9 months. Learned how to go up & down the stairs.

December 2011. 10 months. Said Dada.

January 2012. 11 months. Hes got 2 teeth.

February 2012. Happy Birthday...He's 1 year old!!

 This is what our first year was like. Its crazy to see how they grow and the milestones they hit. Hes a happy baby that just wants to go, go ,go. There is no stopping him. He has always wanted to be mobile & once he was, we were in for a real treat of curiosity. If we couldn't baby proof it we were putting it somewhere where he couldn't get to it. It has been a wonderful learning experience there are things that i will change for baby #2 (when that time comes), But overall I think we had a great first year &

 we are so lucky to have such an amazing little boy.

The Day that changed our lives forever...

February 2, 2011 @ 5:39, Our lives changed forever. We welcomed a healthy 8lb 5oz, 20in Baby Boy into the world. We are so lucky to be the proud parents of Colt Alan. He is such a happy & fun loving boy. He can make the worst day better. He is so ahead of his time. He is always trying to go somewhere & gets nowhere fast. :) Bevo (our dog) watches over him & anytime he cries he is always right there to make sure he is ok. I think Colt is the spitting image of his father. & what a handsome pair they are. I love my little family & cant wait to see what the years bring us.

Jenelle's Visit

2 weeks after my baby shower my sister flew up from Ventura, CA to help get the babies room ready & get some stuff that we would need. She got in Friday afternoon & we got the room all set up (except the baby crib). On Saturday we took the ferry to Seattle & her friend Jonah & her bf showed us around. They took us to an amazing all you can eat Brunch @ Salty's in Alki beach. Then we went over to the Pike Place Market...It was amazing. So many little shops & lots of seafood. We went to the very 1st Starbucks store & then over to the Seattle Space Needle/Seattle Center. They have rides & an arcade, Music center & arenas for concerts. We didnt go up the Space Needle BUT I am ok with that. We had an amazing weekend & I am so glad that she could come out. love her :)

Time is slowing down...

It feels like the first few months went by super fast. All of a sudden I was 25 weeks BUT now I feel like time is slowly passing. Now I am 27 weeks & feel like the last 2 weeks have taken forever. Idk if its just because I am not doing as much or I just want him to be here already. I think my impatientness is getting to me. I can't wait to get the Labor over with, Hold him in my arms & see what our beautiful baby boy will look like. He is so active and likes to play in my belly. Its especially hard because a couple of my friends have 3 month old babies & all I do is want to hold them when i am around them. So its bitter sweet to be holding some1 else's baby while I am impatiently waiting for mine to get here. I am just really excited for my 1st baby & am tired of waiting for him to be here. :)

Baby Shower 10.02.10

I went down to SD for my Baby Shower. It was such an amazing day. My Sister & Alli did so much for me. They were great party planners. & I stayed w/ my big little brother. :)

I am so thankful for everyone that came. It was great seeing all my friends who I havent seen since we left in June. :) We played Guess that baby food & Dirty Diaper. It was so funny. :) I had a great time & am so lucky to have so many amazing friends! Love you guys.

It's a Boy!!

September 7th we found out that we are having a boy!! They tell you to drink 8 glasses of water in 2 hours & no bathroom breaks after the 1st hour...bloated bladder much!! It was the most uncomfortable feeling ever. I felt like my bladder was going to explode. Anyways...We finally go back the technician puts the ultra sound stick on my belly & before she can even look up John's saying "It's a boy!!" lol. I could barely see the screen & the lady shows us the non-arguable evidence. ;) John said that he was pulling a Micheal Jackson with 1 hand on his junk & 1 hand inthe air. Lol. That's my little man, he gets it from his momma. She then went through and measured his head, abdomen, femur & then his whole body. He weighed 10 oz. We then text'd all our friends and called our family. Everyone was so excited to finally know what we were having & they were ready to start spoiling our little boy!!
Even more spoiled then his mom. WTH!!
